Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask before signing up.
Cost, commissions, client protection, data separation and process — answered directly, for sales partners and yacht operators alike.
In short
Yarentra is a B2B yacht charter platform based in Dubai. Sales partners use it free of charge and earn a commission on each completed charter. Yacht operators pay no listing fee and keep control of their calendar and rates. Neither side learns the other's identity — which is what keeps the platform from being bypassed.
Questions from sales partners
- What does Yarentra cost for sales partners?
- Yarentra is free for sales partners: no setup fee, no monthly cost, no minimum volume. Partners earn a commission on each completed charter. The rate is agreed individually once a registration is approved and depends on factors such as volume, yacht category and charter duration.
- Who can become a Yarentra sales partner?
- Sales partners are usually businesses with existing client relationships: travel agencies and tour operators, wedding and event planners, concierge services, hotels and resorts, corporate account managers, and lifestyle or real estate agencies. Prior yacht experience is not required — the charter team handles the operational side.
- How long does approval take?
- Registration takes about two minutes. The partner team then reviews every application personally, normally within one to two business days. Once approved you receive an email and can sign in immediately, browse the catalogue and submit enquiries.
- How does Yarentra stop my client from being taken from me?
- When an enquiry is submitted, the platform permanently records which partner introduced the client, with a timestamp. A protection period then applies for your organisation. Yacht operators never learn which partner or which end client is behind an enquiry — they only see dates, guest numbers and requirements.
- What happens if two partners submit the same client?
- The platform flags possible duplicates automatically from the client details and routes them to a person for review. The documented timestamp decides: whoever introduced the client first is protected. The decision is logged and traceable for both sides.
- Do I see my commission before I sell?
- Yes. The catalogue shows your prices and the expected commission before you enquire. On submission the price, commission and availability status are frozen, so the calculation cannot shift underneath you afterwards.
- When and how is commission paid out?
- Commission is earned when the charter is completed and is then summarised in a settlement you download as a PDF from the portal. Payment rhythm and terms are part of your individual partner agreement. Any single line can be queried from the portal.
- Can I give colleagues access to the partner portal?
- Yes. Every colleague gets their own personal login with an appropriate role — partner admin, sales or read-only. You invite new colleagues directly from the portal.
Questions from yacht operators
- What does Yarentra cost for yacht operators?
- There is no listing fee. Operators are paid per charter on the commercial terms agreed per yacht with the charter team. There is no lock-in and no exclusivity requirement.
- Can partners or end clients see which company operates the yacht?
- No. The partner catalogue shows the yacht and its availability status, not the operator. An operator's name, contacts and terms are never displayed to partners or end clients. The separation is enforced in the database, not just stated as policy.
- How much work is the operator portal day to day?
- Realistically a few minutes a week: confirm availability for the coming weeks and adjust blocks. Enquiries, quotes, documents and all partner communication are handled by the charter team.
- Can I set my own prices?
- You propose your rates with a short note — for example when running costs rise. The charter team reviews the proposal and applies it. No rate changes without your proposal and without that approval, and every change is logged with its old and new value.
- What happens when an availability entry goes stale?
- Confirmations can carry an expiry date. When one lapses, the entry falls back to "to be confirmed" instead of advertising availability nobody has checked. Bookings confirmed through the platform block the period automatically.
- Can I take my yachts out of the catalogue again?
- Yes, at any time. Access can be paused and the yachts disappear from the partner catalogue immediately. There is no notice period and no contractual lock-in.
Questions about the platform
- What exactly is Yarentra?
- Yarentra is a B2B yacht charter platform based in Dubai. It connects sales partners who serve end clients with yacht operators who run the boats. Partners check availability and submit enquiries, operators maintain their calendars, and a charter team handles quoting, booking and settlement in between. Yarentra is not a public consumer marketplace.
- How is Yarentra different from a consumer charter portal?
- Consumer portals sell directly to the guest. Yarentra works strictly B2B: the end client stays the sales partner's client, prices and commissions are configured per partner organisation, and the identities of operator and partner are never disclosed to each other. The focus is client protection, commission clarity and clean handling rather than reach.
- How does Yarentra protect each party's data?
- Sales partners, operators and the charter team work in three separate portals with separate identity systems. Access rules live in the database itself (row-level security): each record carries who may see it, and everything else is refused — regardless of which interface or script is asking.
- Which languages and currencies does the platform support?
- The portal, notifications, emails and customer documents are available in German and English, following each individual user's language. Settlement is supported in eight currencies: AED, EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, SAR, QAR and KWD.
- Which documents does the platform produce?
- A booking produces a quotation, booking confirmation and invoice as PDFs at the click of a button — with company logo, bank details, payment terms and itemised VAT, in German or English. Sales partners additionally download their commission settlements as PDFs.
- Which region does Yarentra cover?
- The operational focus is Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. The platform is not limited to one region: yachts, marinas, currencies and languages are all configurable.
